Strong (vinyasa)

This class is taught by:

Becky Siden

My main focus as a teacher is to help folks practice compassion, experience joy & live wholeheartly. I act as a guide to break away from our cultural ideal of perfectionism to help folks live with more freedom. I love quotes, feeling inspired, connection, community & good music (the kind that makes you want to sing along). The practice of yoga has taught me that the true yoga is living off my mat. It is in the realness of a conversation, laughter & tears shared, and embracing authenticity. Throughout the years, I have done several yoga and therapy trainings. My journey as a yoga teacher started in 2007 and I will forever be a student of life.

Ashley Yono

Hi, my name is Ashley Yono.
I found yoga in 2014, when I happened to stumble upon a deal I found online. I thought I would just try it and see what happened, expecting another workout class I would not be good at, but I wanted to give it a shot. Sitting down for my first class, I never would have known then that my life would be forever impacted by this practice. I have always struggled with body issues and the ability to find love for myself. This practice has helped me immensely to overcome those challenges and find appreciation for my body. Yoga has been an amazing tool to help me on the road to self-trust. I wanted to spread the love that I found in my classes with others as well - that is when I started my yoga teacher training in 2016. I started teaching as soon as I graduated! I want people to be able to show up for themselves and to find that safe space on the mat. Yoga does not care what you look like, no matter your shape, size, race, sexuality, or gender. As long as you can breathe, you can join in this beautiful practice. See you on the mat!
Our signature hot vinyasa style, in a heated room. Have fun and empower yourself as you burn away the stress of the day. Prepare to sweat and increase both stamina and metabolism, as STRONG is a challenging, dynamic cardio-intensive practice at a faster pace. Sequences of continuous “flows” provide the opportunity to deepen breathing and detoxify body and mind as heat builds from within. Intelligent pose progression moves from basic to complex as we connect the movement to breath. Cues to maintain focus on alignment and sound structure to help work every muscle safely, increase flexibility and strength in the body. Students are led through a series of postures that “flow” together for a couple of rounds, then freedom is given to move and define your own pace, testing your own limits as you make your practice your own. Find your power, explore your edge and still have a little time to rest.
